Managing Recordings
Once a message recording is stopped, it is saved to the disk of each host within the ScaleOut Digital Twins cluster.
Messages that are available on the cluster’s disks are said to be “staged” and ready to be replayed.
Note
Staged recordings are located under the following directory on ScaleOut hosts:
Windows: C:\ProgramData\ScaleOut Software\MessageRecordings
Linux: /usr/share/scaleout/message-recordings
Staged message recordings can be persisted to a SQL-compliant database for long-term storage. Once persisted, they can be deleted from the cluster’s disks to free up space.
Users can manage existing message recordings by using the Message Recording Management tool. This tool is a command-line utility (message-recording.exe on Windows and message-recording on Linux) that allows you to save/load recordings in persisted storage and stage/unstage them for replay on the ScaleOut cluster.
